You can write a new story.
When emotional pain or trauma feels overwhelming, it can shape the way you see yourself, your relationships, your life, and your future. You may notice heightened stress, tension in your body, racing thoughts, emotional reactivity, or a tendency to withdraw. Past wounds—trauma, betrayal, loss, grief, disappointment, or long-standing attachment injuries—can quietly influence the present. But while pain is real and worthy of care, it does not have to define your life.
Becoming a trauma therapist grew out of both my love for people and my own experience navigating the complexities of trauma. I provide warm, compassionate care for people experiencing complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, relational wounds, identity concerns, grief, infertility, miscarriage, eating disorders, and other seasons of deep distress. My work is grounded in EMDR and integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and attachment- and somatic-informed approaches to support meaningful, lasting healing.
I believe people are integrated beings—body, mind, and spirit. Our bodies hold stories, our thoughts carry beliefs, and our spirits long for hope. For those who desire it, I incorporate faith as an anchor and guide in the healing process.
My commitment
Therapy is a courageous step. My commitment is to offer a safe, steady space where you feel both supported and empowered. We will move at a pace that honors your story while actively working toward relief, restoration, and a renewed sense of freedom and peace. It is a privilege to walk alongside you as you step into a stronger, more hopeful chapter of your life.

You Can Make a Positive Change.
When anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship struggles take over, life can feel heavy and disorienting. You may feel stuck exhausted from trying to hold everything together, unsure how to move forward, longing for peace, clarity, or reconnection.
You are not alone. And you are not broken beyond repair.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A), working with adults who want more than symptom relief—they want a steadier way to live. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and move toward a fuller life shaped by deeply held values rather fear or self-criticism.
After 32 years as a Professor of Psychology, I bring thoughtful, research-informed tools alongside warmth and respect for your dignity and lived experience. My approach is collaborative, and values based. I use evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Family Systems work to help you:
-
Manage anxiety and depression
-
Process past trauma
-
Break entrenched relational patterns
-
Restore a sense of identity and direction
Because faith shapes how many people understand suffering, identity, and what it means to flourish, I thoughtfully integrate Christian theology with sound psychological practice when desired. The truths of Scripture can help restore identity and re-anchor hope in something deeper than circumstances. Whether faith is central to your life or not, you will be met with warmth, thoughtful guidance, and genuine care.
My Commitment
My commitment is to walk with you as you rebuild what has been shaken, recover what feels lost, and become more grounded and courageous so that anxiety, shame, or past wounds no longer define the direction of your life.
